Biomedical Sports Podiatry provides tailored treatments for you. We focus on targeting symptoms and enabling change through long term solutions. Effective treatment is fostered by finding the exact causes of your issue and determining a treatment plan unique to you.
We are dedicated to providing excellence and committed to achieving results. We know that we can help individuals reach optimal performance and comfort in their everyday activities.
WHAT WE DO
With a great focus in biomechanics, we align treatment to each individual and their needs. This approach allows for accurate diagnoses.
We treat a range of conditions and provide a number of treatment options. An initial consultation allows us to understand your concerns and pain. We will work together to determine the best treatment plan for you.

BIOMECHANICAL ASSESSMENT
We take a look at a range of biomechanics when assessing symptoms and causes of pain. These include your joints, range of motion, muscle strength and the way your ligaments and tendons move.

GAIT ANALYSIS
We use gait analysis to examine and identify abnormalities and pain when you walk or run. Our examination includes measuring, recording and assessing your mobility. In doing this, we are able to gain a greater understanding of your movement patterns.

ORTHOTIC THERAPY
Orthotics are used to maintain the alignment and posture of the foot. This is achieved by holding the foot in its ideal position, supporting the arch, allowing the mechanical movement and correct alignment of the lower limb. An initial detailed assessment is conducted to maximise the potential of the custom orthotics.

DRY NEEDLING
With the use of thin monofilament needles, this procedure is typically used to treat muscle tissue and a range of limb structures. The outcome is to relax muscles and reduce pain to restore function.

NEURAL THERAPY
PROLOTHERAPY
The injection of local anaesthetic works to break down the cycle of chronic and/or acute pain. The goal is to positively influence the nervous system to minimise the individual's pain response.

This therapy utilises a mix of both glucose and local anaesthetic, which is injected into tendons, ligaments and joint spaces. It is used in acute pain or chronic pain involving the knees, ankle and hips.

FOOT MOBILISATION
To improve foot and ankle function, mobilisation is a targeted therapy in which joints are moved through their full range of motion in order to gain alignment of the joint and foot structure.
